Social Media: StumbleUpon

Do you use StumbleUpon?  You should.  At times, we may feel that there are entirely too many social media sites.  But, to be successful one must put one's self out there. The quickest way is through social media.  We have become so accustomed to technology. When trying to find things or look for answers we turn to technology due to its immediacy.   Many businesses utilize social media to promote and market their businesses.  Therefore, one must keep an open mind in promoting their brand, blog, article or site through social media.

I have been familiar with StumbleUpon for awhile.  StumbleUpon is a social media site or social discovery site where individuals search for information through their interests.  The benefit is that users also submit their information based upon keywords, interests and categories to be later "stumbled upon" by other users.   If you target your submissions properly, you are sure to be noticed.  I, however, was not enthusiastic about creating another social media account. You must keep an open mind and try!

PC World reports that StumbleUpon uses a special algorithm that picks up its users interests based upon their likes and dislikes, similar to Google.   I enjoy visiting StumbleUpon as I always find noteworthy sites and information.  I also submit links that I find worth sharing often.  They have several categories - poetry, literature, English, exercise, business, divorce, relationships, finance, weblogs and many more.

Do you have a social media site that you enjoy using?  Please share.
